"It started negatively, as I had called the Cycle Gear at Rancho Cordova, asking them about a jacket and color I was looking for. They swore they had two different sizes and the color I wanted. After driving out to that location, all I got was blank stares and apparently, nobody had answered my call. I thought I had made the mistake and called the wrong store and drove another 30 minutes to the Sacramento store. Yup, they did not have the model of the jacket I was looking for and had not received a call. I was determined to buy a jacket, and after trying several on, I liked one: price, fit, features and all!
They have a financing system I wanted to try, as I need to build my credit and jacket. The cashier gave me a blank stare about how to do it, but within three minutes, I had someone helping me in the process.
As a backdrop to this, it was about 5 minutes to closing time, and I was that last annoying client.
After going thru the process, it turned out I could not use a certain card to pay for the jacket and needed to use a different account, the problem was, the other account had little to no funds, my phone was at 1% and by then, the store was closed! They gracefully allowed me to use their computer and I made the initial payment of the jacket. Turned out they needed my e-mail confirmed, and their computer would not let me log in, CHAOS, all my fault.
They allowed me to charge my phone to confirm my e-mail and I was able to walk out with the jacket!
What started off as a bad customer deception by the person who answered my call at the Rancho Cordova store, ended up as an amazing story of amazing customer service at the Sacramento store. "
"I've been to Cycle Gear in Sac twice now and each time everyone has been really helpful. I just got my first bike and was a little overwhelmed by needing lots of gear and not knowing where to begin. Each time I've been helped by various employees who were really nice and helpful. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I didn't really know much and half expected to be treated like an outsider, but my experience was the complete opposite of that. "I called the store looking for a battery, was told that is in store @ $63.89,I drove 1 hr. to pick it up. After 3 employees looked for battery, not found.I ordered battery at store, was told that service department would fill acid and charge. Few days later I received a call, battery is in, this was aprox. 10:00am. I drove 1hr. after work, 4:00pm. arrive at store to find out service tech did not know about the battery. No acid, no charged battery,ruined my experience. "
